North Shore Community Festivities - February 12-28, 2010

There will be plenty of activities and entertainment and fun for residents and visitors alike on the North Shore.

There will be four areas that you will be able to go to on the North Shore to celebrate with community members and watch the excitement during the 2010 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games.

North Shore Community Festival Sites - February 12-28

There are three North Shore Festival sites where people can gather, celebrate and share in the excitement of the Games. These sites will feature live feed of the Games on large screens, include entertainment and will be a community gathering place to be part of the Games in our own backyard.

Residents attending previous Olympic Games have said that these community gathering places are the best and one of the most memorable parts of hosting the Games! This will be your once-in-lifetime experience to participate in being the hosting province.

ValleyFest at Lynn Valley Village - February 12-28, 2010 - Sunday-Thursdays 10am-8pm; Friday & Saturday: 10am-9pm

The WinterFest will feature:

  • Large outdoor TV screen for games viewing
  • Live entertainment
  • Winter sports playground
  • Discovery Zone for kids
  • Molly the Mountaineer
  • Kurling (on special "ice")

WinterFest at Lonsdale Quay Market - February 12-28, 2010

Winter Carnival at Park Royal

Park Royal welcomes the world with the first annual Winter Carnival - a magical outdoor skating experience. A skating canal will run through Main Street in the Village at Park Royal. There will be many stops of interest including: a hot chocolate zone, sponsor information tents, and many activities to keep you entertained.

Skating Canal: noon to 10pm; Beverage Tent: 4pm to 10pm

The Winter Carnival will feature:

  • Big outdoor TV screen for games viewing
  • Live entertainment
  • Beverage tent
